Alice M Barrows Principal

Welcome!

Welcome to the Alice M. Barrows Elementary School! Our school is comprised of over 350 students from kindergarten through fifth grade (18 classrooms total). Our dedicated staff includes General Education teachers, Special Education teachers, Specialists, Related Service Providers, Paraprofessionals, Tutors, School Nurse, Office Team, Custodians, and Cafeteria workers. Barrows is home to the R.E.A.C.H. program which helps students independently apply strategies to improve emotional and behavioral regulation, increase social skills competence to improve personal relationships with others and increase academic skills so that each student may maximize their overall school success.

All staff members are committed to helping our students have a successful elementary experience! We work tirelessly to develop social-emotional learning skills, provide academic challenges, ensure student safety, and promote a space for all individuals. We do this by fostering positive relationships, collaborating with teachers and families, and providing high-quality instructional experiences. As a school, we focus on building productive and kind individuals through our Barrows Beliefs, which include:

Be Safe

Be Kind

Be Respectful

Persevere

Collaborate

The Alice M. Barrows Elementary School is a place that educates and challenges, and encourages all students while serving their unique academic, physical, social, and emotional needs through innovative, collaborative learning experiences that promote critical and creative thinking.
